What we can take into account

Things you can ask us to consider

The vocabulary behind the filters: what each term means to us, what we do with it, and what it is not. Choosing one records a preference — it is never an assessment of you, and never medical advice.

Claims brands make

  • Cruelty-free

A cruelty-free claim made by the brand or by a named certification scheme, shown together with the scheme, its source and the date we recorded it. We store which scheme granted it rather than a simple yes or no. We repeat the claim and its source, and we do not verify it ourselves.

  • Fragrance-free

A fragrance-free claim made by the brand, shown together with its source and the date we recorded it. It is the brand's wording and not ours, and it is not a statement about allergens. It does not tell you that no fragrance allergen is present, and a product whose ingredient list has no Parfum entry is not fragrance-free on that basis alone. If you are avoiding a particular ingredient, filter on that ingredient.

  • Vegan

A vegan claim made by the brand or by a certification scheme, shown together with who made it and when we recorded it. We repeat the claim and its source. We do not verify it ourselves.
